Sections of the General Motors-Holden works in Elizabeth, South Australia, eeased production, and about 100 men were idle, after 24 key workers in the transmission department stopped work at lunchtime today. A union spokesman said that the men’a action was over a $5-a-week pay rise offered by the company, and would not return until tomorrow.
