Prices rises accepted

WELLINGTON, June 16. Fourteen companies which had price increases accepted under the 1970 early-warning system had also had price increases approved under the price justification scheme, said the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Shelton) today. Replying to a parliamentary question from Mr W. W. Freer (Lab., Mount Albert) he said these increases under the price justification scheme ranged from less than 1 per cent to 19 per cent, the average being slightly more than 5 per cent.
