OBITUARY MR C. G. LEE
•‘The Press” Special Service CAMBRIDGE. The veteran trotting trainer, C.l G. (“Togo”) Lee, died suddenly at Cambridge on Monday. Mr Lee was bom in Auckland and spent many years as a blacksmith, including overseas service during World War I.
He entered trotting as a young man, winning saddle races, and was later a licensed trainer for many years. He was still active at the time of his death, and had prepared Fleeting Forbes, a good winner this season. Mr Lee trained at Cambridge for more than 30 years and prepared many good winners, notably Oakhampton, Auto Prince, and Shadow Prince.
