Damages of $3718
General and special damages totalling $3718.16 were awarded to the plaintiff, Evelyn Joyce Mcllroy, married, by a jury in the Supreme Court last evening. Mr Justice Wilson entered judgment for that amount Mrs Mcllroy claimed $BOOO general damages and $993.75 special damages from Geoffrey Kent Bell, a clerk, for injuries suffered in a collision at the corner of Rogers Street, Bunyan Street, and Waltham Road, late on the afternoon of April 23, 1965. The jury found that the plaintiff contributed 25 per cent towards the accident by travelling at a speed which was excessive in the circumstances. The defendant coun-ter-claimed special damages of $lO9 and was awarded $27.25. Mr J. G. Leggat appeared for the plaintiff and Mr C. B. Atkinson for the defendant.
