Northland

(N.Z. Press Association) WHANGAREI, May 20. The Commonwealth Games Appeal Fund will benefit from the Northland Harbour Board by $3OOO over the next three years. At today's board meeting members said the Games were of national importance and not restricted to Christchurch.

Northland would get its money back anyway, with visitors coming north after the 1974 Games finished, Mr E. J. Johnson said. Mr W. G. Thompson said that Northland would have plenty of competitors at the games and this was one way Northland could assist them.

The grant will be made in three lots of SKFO.
