Audience of 27m

LONDON, May 20.
A total audience of more than 27m Britons is estimated to have seen or heard Mr Marshall putting New Zealand’s “Common Market case” last Monday, the day he arrived in London. Mr Marshall was interviewed on 8.8. C. and Independent Television news about the main points of New Zealand’s case, and New Zealand House officials said that viewers for the two programmes totalled 19m.
The Minister also appeared on the 8.8. C. programme “24 Hours” an audience of another 4m. 8.8. C. radio’s “World Tonight” interview was heard by 4m, a grand total for the day of 27m. Since then Mr Marshall has appeared again on TV and radio news broadcasts Later this week he will be interviewed by 8.8. C. and Independent Television for separate programmes.
