(N.I. frttt CoparieMi SYDNEY. May 11. Pilots of Australia's Gov-ernment-owned airline, Qantas, have lifted their ban on training for the Boeing 747 jumbo jets. This decision by the Australian Federation of Air Line Pilots was made after Qantas agreed to give pilots flying the jets a 27 per cent increase in salary. The aircraft are due to be introduced to Australia in September. A Federation spokesman said tonight that pilots were ready to start training on 747 s whenever the company wanted.

Senior Qantas captains will receive an increase of $5050 a year taking their gross pay to $23,800. a Qantas spokesman said. Salaries for first officers will increase from about $12,500 to $14,000 and senior

officers will get $9500, instead of $7500.

The final figure was a compromise between a 33 per cent rise sought by the Federation and 20 per cent offered by Qantas, the airline spokesman said.
