RECONCILIATION Every employer who has made tax deductions from salary or wages, extra emoluments or withholding payments during the year ended March 31, 1971, is required to put in a reconciliation statement to the Tax Office not later than MAY 15, 1971 The statement is to be accompanied by signed copies of all tax deduction certificates and any special tax code certificates, IR 23. held. PAYROLL TAX RETURN Every employer who pays or is liable to pay payroll tax in respect of the chargeable wages paid or payable during the period ended March 31, 1971, is required to furnish a return to the tax office not later than MAY 15, 1971 FORMS TO USE The necessary forms have been sent out from the Department. Use form— IR 68 for reconciliation of P.A.Y.E. tax deductions only. IR 68P for combined reconciliation of P.A.Y.E. tax deductions and payroll tax return. If you have not received vour form or require a further form please ask at your nearest tax office. BECAUSE MAY 15 IS A SATURDAY. THE LAST DAY FOR SENDING IN YOUR PAYROLL TAX RETURN AND P.A.Y.E.
