Villa Maria deb. ball
About 600 guests attended the Villa Maria College Old; Girls’ Association debutante, ball at the Winter Garden last evening. Twenty - nine debutanteswere presented to the Roman Catholic Bishop of Christ-; church (the Most Rev. B. P.; Ashby) by Mrs D. M. Bridgman, president of the association. They carried Victorian j posies trimmed with ribbons in the school colours. Specially-invited guests included Sister Pauline, superior of Villa Maria College; Sister Teresa, principal of the College; the debuntantes* parish priests, and representatives of kindred associations.
