At the Public Inquiry into the question of import duties and Import licensing affecting excavators, which was notified In Tariff and Development Board Notice No. 180 in the "New Zealand Gazette” of September 3, 1970, only one New Zealand manufacturer gave evidence. The Board has since been informed that other New Zealand manufacturers who wish their views op this question to be considered by the Board did not participate in the Public Inquiry because of misunderstanding. 2.
