Broken Hill mines open

Broken Hill’s four mines will reopen today after being shut down for more than two weeks, the companies which ewn the mines have announced. The decision to reopen the mines was made by North Broken Hill, Ltd, Zinc Corporation, Ltd, South Broken Hill, Ltd, and Broken Hill Consolidated. Ltd, after mining unions accepted a recommendation by conciliation arbitration commissioner (Mr Justice Cahill) to end the dispute.
