(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) MANILA, April 21. A Bolivian painter, Benjamin Mendoza, aged 36, was today convicted of attempting to kill Pope Paul last year at Manila Airport and was sentenced by Judge Pedro Bautista to four years and two months in prison. Mendoza’s counsel had pleaded insanity.
