Communists kill Thais

BANGKOK, April 11
One Thai Army soldier was killed and three were seriously wounded yesterday when their utility vehicle set off a Communist mine in Surat Thani province, about 585 miles south of Bangkok, police sources said today. Police reinforcements were rushed to the scene and one Communist guerrilla was killed in the ensuing battle. In Songkhla Province, about 825 miles from Bangkok, four Communist guerrillas yesterday raided a roadside police box and shot dead a policeman. Police reinforcement's chased the guerrillas into the hills and killed one of them, the sources said.
