THESE THREE EXECUTIVES of Foodstaffs (Christchurch), Ltd, will be amongst the ISO persons making the move in the next few weeks from the Fonr Square headquarters at the corner of Moorhouse Avenue and Montreal Street to the new headquarters and distribution centre at Northcote. On the left is Mr N. R. M. Weir, the company’s accountant In the middle is Mr K. M. McTainsh, warehouse manager, and (on the right) Mr L. Gamble, the hardware manager. The cooperative company has had its headquarters in Moorhouse Avenue for 37 years. In 1 the last decade, the company’s business increased by more than 250 per cent During this financial year the company has sold more than $l3 million of wholesale goods to its 315 grocer members. The great expansion of business and increase in traffic has made the Moorhouse Avenue premises too small for the organisation. The new 13 j-acre site at Northcote will ensure that all the goods distributed by the company will be able to be ’ aid at the one centre for many years to come—even though Four Square will — expand as Christchurch and Canterbury grows.
