Grant made to strikers
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. March 25. The Wellington Trades Council has made a substantial financial grant to the Featherston rubber workers who stopped work more than three weeks ago over a wage claim.
It was the first time such a grant had been made by the council, its president (Mr T. M. Hill) said tonight He declined to give the size of the grant.
