State abortion service urged
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 28. The Auckland University Students’ Association will urge the Government to make abortions available on demand from the State medical service for any pregnant woman. The motion was carried, 117 votes for an 108 against, at the association’s halfyearly meeting. A resolution called on the Government to rectify immediately the overcrowding of penal institutions.
