More freedom for nuns
(N.Z. P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) VATICAN CITY, Mar. 28. Further measures aimed at giving Roman Catholic nuns greater freedom have been announced by the Vatican. Nuns may now choose whatever priest they like as their confessor, and he no longer has to be more than 35 years old. In addition, nuns may now attend confession only twice a month instead of once a week.
Last August a decree ended the widely-disregarded regulation forbidding nuns from going out of their convents alone.
