FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—A large anticyclone moving east towards New Zealand covers the country and the Tasman Sea. Forecast: Buller and Westland.—Moderate west to south-west winds but fresh in some exposed places. Fine. Nelson and Marlborough.—Light to moderate variable winds, mainly from between north and west. Clear weather. Mild in the afternoon, but cool again tonight. Canterbury.—Light variable winds. Clear weather. Mild in the afternoon, but cold again tonight. Outlook.—All districts: similar.
