‘The workers’
Sir,—lt is disturbing to note the frequent references in news media to “employers” and "workers.” There is something rather insidious in the implication that employers do not work, when in fact many of them not only do manual work but in most cases work longer hours and carry far more responsibility than their staff. Could you please, thferefore, when reporting on industrial disputes, as you unfortunately have to do all too frequently nowadays, refer to "employers” and “employees,” which is fairer and more realistic definition of the two groups?— Yours, etc., KB, :
