Bogged down
As midnight approached last evening, two break down trucks were far from success after several hours of trying to tow two other vehicles out of the mud of the Estuary. It ail started about 3 pan, a couple of hours before high tide, when a utility vehicle became bogged in the Estuary mud off Rockinghorse Road.
A breakdown track was called, lost its way, and took . about an hour to arrive. By this time the tide was even further in and the rescue vehicle, working in water, got a wet engine and also became stuck. A vehicle from a rival breakdown firm arrived, but was unable to extricate the bogged vehicles.
