Slow journey by module
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 25. It took six days for the Apollo 14 module to reach the moon but 94 days for a replica to come from Bombay, in India, to Auckland. The replica will be shown at the Auckland City Council centennial display at the Easter show, opening tomorrow. The first eight crates containing the replica left Bombay in the Straat Colombo on December 20, but for some reason they were transferred at Singapore to the Straat Johore and ended up with the ship in dry dock in Hong Kong. The Apollo replica was finally unloaded in Fiji and reached Auckland this week without crates. The remaining crates are coming to Auckland by air.
