FIREARM CHARGE
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 26. Anthony Paul O’Loughlin, aged 24, an unemployed ink blender, was charged in the Upper Hutt Magistrate’s Court this afternoon with unlawfully presenting a .303 rifle at Michael Joseph O’Loughlin in Upper Hutt this morning. The charge arose from an incident to which the police armed offenders squad was called.
On the application of Detective Senior-Sergeant B. J. Perigo, O’Loughlin was remanded to the Porirua Hospital until April 20 under Section 39 of the Criminal Justice Act by Mr K. Gething, J.P.
