Fishing rivers
Most rivers in the province are in good order for fishing, according to the report compiled by the North Canterbury Acclimatisation Society at 9 a.m. yesterday. The Waiau, Ashley, Hurunui, Waimakariri, Selwyn and Rakaia are clear, but the Ashburton, Rangitata and Hinds are dirty.
