Mediators, Auckland and Christchurch The mediators will be required to encourage employers, unions and workers to establish and maintain harmonious industrial relations and assist in the prevention and settlement of industrial disputes. The positions call for persons with a wide knowledge of industry and extensive experience in the field of industrial relations. Ability to originate and maintain good relationships with employers and workers’ organisations and a good personality are important. Although located in the centres mentioned, appointees will be required to cover a wider area and may be involved in extensive travel often at short notice.
