Estimated profit on operations was $1,323,000 compared with $2,290,000 and to this was added $2,565,000 net investment income, compared with $1,901,000 last period. The value of mine production for the six months was $10,710,000 compared with $12,401,000 last period. Average metal prices for the six months, with those for the six months to December 31, 1969 shown in parenthesis, were: $243.44 ($262.25) a ton of lead, $278.58 ($271.29) a ton of zinc, 153.75 c (156.36 c an ounce of silver. Dividend number 180 of 2.5 per cent for six months is payable on June 4. The full year’s dividend last year was 15 per cent.
