VISIT TO AMERICA
Mr B. P. Duncan, a former pupil of St Bede’s College and secretary of the college’s Young Farmers’ Club, is one of four students and members of tiie New Zealand Young Farmers’ Club chosen to visit America. Mr Duncan, who is aged 19 and comes from Darfield, will spend one year in America to participate in a “Work Experience Abroad” programme arranged by the Future Farmers of America organisation, which comprises agricultural students up to the age of 21. After attending an orientation seminar in San Francisco, the overseas participants in the programme will go to host employers on various farms in America. Also in the itinerary is a visit to Washington.
