Citizens group elects officers
Mr E. B. E. Taylor was reelected president of the Christchurch Citizens’ Association at its annual meeting last evening.
Vice-presidents elected were: Mesdames D. Radley and V. Purchase, Misses D. Morrison and B. Webb, and Messrs A. R. Guthrey, H. P. Smith, W. R. Campbell, W. P. Glue and Dr L. C. L. Averill. Mr G. A. G. Connal was appointed honorary treasurer and J. W. K. Lawrence and Compnay honorary auditors. After the annual meeting Mr H. P. Smith was re-elected chairman of the general committee. A nominations committee was appointed, and it will invite nominations for vacancies on the various local bodies to contest this year’s local body elections.
