Site for Public Library
Sir, —I, for one, cordially agree with the proposal to move the Library, ideally, to Cathedral Square. We live in Ham Road, and for years, often twice a week, my wife has made the journey to and from the library laden with books. This involves first a longish walk to catch a bus to the Square; then another weary walk to the library: then, even more heavily laden, reversing the procedure, to arrive home ready for a cup of tea, and having had just about enough.— Yours, etc., ILAM. March 26, 1971.
