Thomson group profit £3.667m
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter— Copyright) LONDON, March 25. The Thomson Organisation, the publishing group headed by the Canadian-born newspaper magnate, Lord Thomson, made a profit of £3.667m in 1970, it was disclosed in London today. This compares with a profit of £3.621m in 1969, but that figure was struck after taking into account losses on “The Times,” which Lord Thomson made his personal responsibility last Augst. No estimate is put on the losses of “The Times” for this year; in 1969 it lost £859,000.
