Stop-work protests
Sir, —Your correspondent, “Fed Up,” aptly illustrates the mind which will prevent this country from returning to greatness. His letter is full of inconsistencies and culminates in an inane conclusion. How does he manage to see present industrial unrest as “Communist-backed?” Perhaps “Fed Up” saw a young railway machinist wearing Trotsky-like spectacles and wild hair? Indeed, the sheer illogic of his words leaves one grasping for some point at which to start an answer. The only answer is to hope he replies and suffocates in his own nonsense.—Yours, etc., MITHRANDIR. March 24, 1971.
