Travel clubs society
Mrs S. Wells, the president of the Canterbury Travel Club, was elected president of the Society of New Zealand Travel Clubs at its recent annual meeting in Lower Hutt. The meeting was attended by 21 delegates and 10 observers from the 10 member clubs of the society. Quarterly meetings will be held in Chrstchurch.
Other officers are as follows: —Patron, Mrs J. Victor Macky (Auckland); immedi-ate-past president, Mrs J. L. Hartstonge (Wellington); vice-presidents, Mesdames B. L. Blodom (Timaru) and P. M. Vining (Nelson); secretarytreasurer, Mrs E. M. Trueman (Christchurch); executive, Mesdames A. M. Vile, J. Stewart, B. Smith, W. O. Nicholson, N. Thompson, D. Carrick, D. Malcolm, H. S. Fraer and H. E. Goggin and club presidents.
