Transfer of portfolios
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Mar. 25. The Minister of Tourism (Mr Walker) would act as Minister of Works while Mr Allen is overseas, the Prime Minister (Sir Keith Holyoake) said today. The Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Seath) would assume Mr Allen’s Electricity portfolio. Mr Allen left today for Britain, Europe and North America to study conservation of the environment.
