(N.Z. Press Association} SYDNEY. A yearling filly by the now dead sire, Woodley Walnut, sold for an Australasian record price of $12,250 at Picton, 50 miles south-west of Sydney on Wednesday. The filly, which is from the Meadow Chief mare, Meadow Fair, was one of 105 yearlings and broodmare lots at the dispersalu sale of Carlton Stud. All lots were sold. Meadow Fair is dam of the New Zealand pacer Co Pilot, which left last week for the United States. The filly was bought by Mr I. Foo, a buyer operating in the New South Wales country areas. The 105 lots sold for a total of $156,900, an average of $1494.
