LIGHT EVE: Showed speed in Cheviot Cup, stopping in the run home. Should go much better here.

LORD FLICKA: Showing improved form with two good wins in Southland in last few weeks. Should again go well. MISTER SMART: Unbeaten in three latest starts and looks to be one of the most promising horses in his class. Should just about win. MONARRG: Finished well for third to Arapaho in Hororata Cup. Will appreciate the flying start and should go well. PRINCE ONYX: Has drawn favourably and will appreciate the distance. Great place chance. REFLUENT: Useful fourth in Cheviot Cup. Racing well and looks ready to win at short notice. TULLAMORE DEW: Decisive winner at Hororata a fortnight ago, but failed to show same dash in Cheviot Cup. Could go better over this distance. ROBINSON CRUSOE: Sure to appreciate flying start, and after third in Cheviot Cup must be considered.
