Prince Mellay emergency
(N.Z. Press Association) SYDNEY. The New Zealand two-year-old, Prince Mellay, was named an emergency runner in the field for the Golden Slipper Stakes at Rosehill tomorrow. Prince Mellay (Mellay—Cadmean), was one of seven horses in a ballot for the emergencies in the final field when acceptances were taken at noon yesterday. Prince Mellay, which is owned by Mr H. Kendall, of Christchurch, was one of the lucky four to survive the ballot.
