Delighted winner
(From Our Own Reporter) WESTPORT, March 25. Although the winner of the winning ticket in the Golden Kiwi lottery drawn today, Mrs B. Currie, of Westport, was exultant at her success, her husband, Bruce Currie, a drilling supervisor for Buller Minerals, did not hear of the windfall until his return from work this evening. Mrs Currie, a member of the well-known farming family, the Mitchells, of Charleston, has been taking tickets for some years.
She intends to visit an aunt in Auckland and then will think further about what to do with the money. The Curries, apart from one girl, have a grown-up family.
