Pakistan plans
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) DACCA (East Pakistan), March 24. Plans to form an interim civilian government for the whole of Pakistan had virtually collapsed, informed political sources said today. But Mr Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, West Pakistan’s chief political leader, said that a national Government with Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the rebellious leader of East Pakistan, as Prime Minister, was still one of two possibilities for solving the geo-graphically-divided country’s political deadlock. Mr Bhutto said that the alternative solution - was to turn over power to a civilian provincial government in East Pakistan and four provincial governments in West Pakistan.
President Agha Mohammed Yahya Khan would remain as head of the central government.
