Retirement from bank
Mr R. H. Lord, manager of the Bank of New Zealand in Christchurch since April, 1967, will retire on May 31. Mr Lord joined the bank in Te Awamutu in 1927 and served in branches in the North Island before he was appointed accountant at Auckland and then manager at Hamilton North in 1956. In 1962 he was appointed manager of the Invercargill branch of the bank, and in 1965 was transferred to the head office of the bank in Wellington as business development manager for New Zealand.
Mr Lord will be succeeded by Mr G. C. Miller, the deputy manager of the Auckland branch.
