PROPERTY SALES
A six-room weatherboard villa on a section of 29 perches with a proposed zoning of R 3, at 199 Bealey Avenue, was sold for $9300 at a public auction yesterday conducted by W. E. Simes and Company. The house, on the corner of Bealey Avenue and Manchester Street, is suitable for conversion into two flats. The Government valuation is $6500. The auctioneer was Mr P. J. Cook. A two-storey weatherboard building divided into four self-contained flats and a separate bed-sitting room at 250 Gloucester Street, near Latimer Square, was passed in at $17,750 when it was offered for sale by public auction yesterday by Ford and Hadfield, Ltd. The Government valuation of the property, which includes a 32.3 perch section and garaging for several cars, is $12,000. The auctioneer was Mr D. O. Chapman.
