Passed in at $51,500
A large, two-storeyed house on a 60-perch section at 277 Papanui Road was passed in at auction last evening for $51,500. The Government valuation is $26,000. The home, built of triple brick with a slate roof, has five bedrooms, a 40ft by 23ft drawing-room, a large living room, a separate dining room, a kitchen with adjoining breakfast room, two bathrooms and three toilets. Other improvements to the section include a 60ft by 30ft heated swimming pool with a dressing room and a threecar garage. More than 150 persons attended the auction which was held by the NMA Company of New Zealand in conjunction with Warwick Todd. The auctioneer was Mr W. R. Flanagan of the NMA.
