Easy gallop by Silver Blue
Silver Blue was not after time in his trial at Woodville yesterday morning, but showed himself ready for another good effort in the Manawatu Mile on Saturday.
Others to work well inclu-, ded the second leg candidate, Lady Branksome, and the Sire’s Produce Stakes runner, Classic Mission. On the plough, Silver Blue
and Minstrel ran six furlongs in Imin 18 4-ssec, the final three under a hold in 39 3-5 sec. Josie Glow and Palpatate ran six furlongs in Imin 17 2-ssec, the final three in 37 4-ssec. Josie Glow may race at Riccarton at Easter. Dragon King and Banquet took time honours for six furlongs. They recorded Imin 15 jsec, the final three in 37 2-5 sec. Classic Mission did his work well alongside Idoflo. They ran six furlongs in Imin 17sec, the last three in 38sec. Lady Branksome galloped deceptively over six furlongs in Imin 16 4-ssec, the final three in 36 4-ssec. She is in good order for the Adderstone Handicap. Miss Harleigh and Denigh ran seven furlongs in Imin 29 2-ssec, the last six in Imin 16 4-ssec and the final three in 38sec. Miss Harleigh was well behind Denigh in the middle stages but was almost alongside him at the finish. ; Noir Filou was let off with 1 an easy two rounds. He ran , his last six furlongs in Imin . 23 3-ssec and the last three • in 40 l-ssec. He may not start ; in the Awapuni Gold Cup unless there is rain.
