CRICKETER COLLAPSES
(N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM, March 22. While he was batting in a social cricket match at Picton yesterday afternoon, a Christchurch man, Duncan Malcolm Mclntyre, aged 48, collapsed and died. The match was between the Picton Businessmen’s Cricket Club and the staff of Queen Charlotte College. Before he moved to Christchurch some years ago, Mr Mclntyre was prominent in Picton business. He was a foundation member of the club and had come from Christchurch to play.
