Religious dress discussion
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Mar. 23. Roman Catholic Church authorities had given further consideration to the requirement that members of religious orders wear civilian dress while attending teacher training colleges, said the Minister of Education (Mr Taiboys) in Parliament today. The church authorities had discussed the matter with Education Department officers, and a revised statement would be discussed with the teachers’ college authorities and education boards within the next few weeks.
