Klein fined in New York
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) NEW YORK, March 23. Mr Allen Klein, the former business manager of the Beatles, was fined SUSIS,OOO yesterday for failure to file income-tax reports for 10 members of his staff.
He was given until April 15 to make the payment, and told that failure to pay could result in a prison term. Klein was found guilty earlier this month of failure to report quarterly income-tax returns and social security contributions amounting to SUSBOOO between December, 1959, and June, 1962, when he was head of Allen Klein and Company, New York.
