New Rolls company
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, March 23. A new company emerged from the wreckage of RollsRoyce yesterday and took over manufacture of the famous limousines that spell luxury round the world. Shares in the new company are controlled by the RollsRoyce official receiver, Mr E. R. Nicholson, who will also manage the company’s business affairs. He told N.Z.P.A.-Reuter that the new company, which also included Rolls’s specialist diesel engine division, “leaves us to do what we like with the company and f militates trading in the meantime.”
Several motor companies, including some foreign ones, are interested in buying Rolls’s car division, but Mr Nicholson declined to discuss the new company’s future. He said that transferring the car and diesel engine divisions to the new company might facilitate its sale in the future if such a decision were made.
