Transport co. acquired

Press Association) ROTORUA, March 22. 1 The 77-year-old Rotorua j transport firm, Goodsons, Ltd, had been bought by Direct ’ Transport (Holdings), Ltd, the .’ chairman of Direct Transport ’ (Mr D. Ewart) the chairman ’ of Goodsons (Mr C. R. Goodson) said in a joint statement. The take-over will become effective on March 31, the day before Direct Transport (Holdings), Ltd, becomes j wholly owned by the Napier s transport firm, Robert Holt . and Sons, Ltd. The services run by Goodsons will be continued as before and, “in the main, operational staff will be retained,” ■ according to the statement.
