Students assets
The University of Canterbury Students’ Association, with an annua! income of more than $185,000, has $358,539 invested in student assets and facilities. The major part of these investments is the students’ contribution to the Student Union building at Ham ($275,400), and the students’ contribution to the purchase of the 13-flat Complex known as College Court in Cashel Street ($50,000). Other assets set out in the Students’ Association balance sheet are fixtures, fittings and all office equipment ($11,885); Steeds Memorial Hut ($1316); Ham sports ground pavilion ($11,805); students’ contribu-
tion to Physical Recreation Centre ($7833) and students’ contribution to the proposed student village ($300).
