FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—A belt of high pressure extends from the Tasman Sea across New Zealand to beyond the Chatham Islands. A depression lies to the north-east of New Zealand and a westerly airstream flows to the south. Forecast: Canterbury, Marlborough, Nelson, Buller and Westland. —Light to moderate winds with day-time sea breezes about the coasts. Apart from patches of fog or low cloud at first in the morning, weather fine and warm during the day, especially inland. Outlook.—Cloudy in Buller and Westland with isolated showers. Fine elsewhere.
