Kennedy momentoes
Souvenir-hunters have torn off so many strips of wood from the Chappaquiddick bridge that repairs costing $lOOO are necessary. A car driven by Senator Edward Kennedy drove off the bridge on July 18, 1969; his passenger, Miss Mary Jo Kopechne, was killed.—Edgartown (Massachusetts), March 21.
Boxing.—The Italian. F. Atzori, successfully defended his European fly-weight boxing title at Zurich for the eighth, time by beating J. McCluskey (Britain) on a clear-cut point, decision.
