QUERIES ON CENSUS
The Christchurch City cenus office has had already a large number of inquiries about particular aspects of the census tomorrow. The chief Postmaster in Christchurch (Mr M. T. Reedy) said that offices had been set up in different areas of Christchurch to handle such inquiries.
Persons living in Christchurch city and Heathcote County should telephone 30-682 if they have any questions about the census, and how the schedules should be completed, he said.
Residents of Waimairi County should contact the Postmaster, Papanui, telephone 526-179; the census enumerator for Riccarton Borough, Paparua, Hornby and Halswell Counties is the postmaster at Riccarton, telephone 45-089; and the residents of Lyttelton Borough and Mount Herbert County should telephone the postmaster at Lyttelton, telephone LYT 8089. Country residents should inquire from their nearest postmaster.
